Teresa is a Licensed Professional Counselor Intern, supervised by Penny Haight, M.Ed, LPC-S. Teresa is also a National Certified Counselor, who specializes in individual and group therapy.
With over 13 years in the military, and over 3 years in the counseling profession, Teresa believes therapy emphasizes helping others to realize they have the full potential to take charge in their own lives by overcoming opposition and daily obstacles.Teresa has worked with numerous children, individuals, couples, families, and groups to overcome obstacles hindering them from achieving their personal goals and has created and administered numerous groups in parenting and anger management for adolescents.
Teresa is a person centered therapist that focuses on numerous areas of the clients life to help challenge irrational belief processes by using a cognitive behavioral approach and well as using Rationale Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT). Teresa also has extensive experience in non-directive play therapy with children ages 5-10.
